CO2 is going to be sucked out of the atmosphere by reaction with oxygen-poormaterials. It reacts with silicates to make carbonates and silica (or, withoxides to make carbonates). Earth has no biological carbon pump to maintainan oxidation gradient across the lithosphere, but there is still plentyof oxygen in the rocks. Even still, this will only last a few decades ifwe do not do something to stop this process now!
