1989-1991

20-30 songs produced at CMU video editing cluster and CMU computer cluster. Equipment includes AKAI S900 sampler and midi keyboard, 2 SPX 90 effects processors, DX7 tone generator, 1/4 inch tape 2 track (the Revox), VHS video editing system and Mac IIci using the original version of SoundEdit. Much of material edited on VHS.

1992-1993

Re-information opens the way for re-evolution after using first Devo sample. 20 - 30 songs produced entirely on the Mac at CMU computer cluster. Most original digital copies cannot be saved due to data size and thus cassette dubbed copies become masters. The theory of Lo/hi-fi is firmly established.

1994 05

First Revo show at Forbes Gallery. Six person lineup. New material written one month before the show. All new samples played live using stupid player program called Rap Rock and Roll on two Quadra 700 's. Other equipment includes Casio Keyboard, Musical Stick, Electric Guitar and player, CybergunArm with LED goggle, Roland R6 drum machine, various digital toys, electric bass, gas mask microphones, and Digital Guitar. Revo kicked jazz freak out openers off stage and started set. Free beer and Flaming Shit Bags available with bologna and american cheese sandwiches.

1994 10

Second Revo show at Bellefield Auditorium with Don Caballero, Polvo and Shiny Beast. Revo performed in battle against Don Caballero in the balcony facing away from stage. Revo emerged from Behind Don Caballero's first song and walked through crowd wearing full enclosure yellow chemical suits up to balcony to begin set. Four person lineup. Three Quadra 650 computers play live samples using O.R.I. BackToBasics Software version 3.1. Other equipment includes Yamaha SY2, Prophet 600, Korg Poly 6 and Casio Keyboards, Musical Stick, Cybergunarm and gas mask Microphone.

First release "Digitally Remastered", a reclaimed acid green Mr. Roger's Neighborhood cassette consisting of early and late RE-INFORMATION is sold at show.

1994 11

Video for 'Master' shot on Neville Island in Pittsburgh for entrance in MTV Beach House Band contest. Received hand written certificate of participation from MTV.

Digital Re-mastering of Revo backlog tapes (A>D>D) at hippy studios in Greenfield, courtesy of Yari Hluchan through Kevin Kim. Session includes live tracks on 'Midget' and Digital>Analog>Digital conversion of Planet X and Interference.

1995 05.21

Revo show 3.0 at Doherty Lecture Hall with Delta 6, Cakelike, and The Vivians. Two Macintosh Quadra 650 computers, one PowerBook 190, a Mac IIci and a four person lineup use BackToBasics software version 5.0 to play live samples. Accompanied by Prophet 600, Korg Delta 4, Yamaha SY2, Casio CZ101 and Concertmate keyboards. Projected visual information on raiseable screen. Revo Loglogo sign p2esides over stage. Physics calculations in chalk on large green "black boards" behind performance area. Second release "Floppy" is 8 disk set, 2 songs on each disk. Mac and PC versions complete with RevoPlayer software and interface. $0.99 per disk.

1995 12.06

Revo 4.0 show at Club Stratus in Oakland, PA, with Mace, The Speaking Canaries and Bungie Ja-bo. Record release party for the Operation Re-Information 7 inch vinyl ($4). Also released collectors edition of O.R.I. 7 inch vinyl test pressings (20 copies total at $7) Floppy release in disk display ($0.99) and limited edition two song cassette, Action Battle Theme and The Horse ($2). Also available RE-VCO refrigerator magnets. Free beer due to Revo, paid for by special agent Manny Theiner. The club does not have a liquor license and therefore can only give beer away with admission to club. Two Quadra 650's and one power Mac 8100 use BackToBasics version 6.001d Beta. Other equipment includes Yamaha SY2, Casio CZ 101, Prophet 600, Korg Delta 4, Casio Concertmate, Arp Axxe, Musical Stick, Universe Gun, and 2 Moog Synthesizers by Realistic. Revo Log Logo signage (unlit) backs the stage. BUTOR appears during Mr. Solvent, Lefty and crushes the rebellion. Oscilloscope readout of mix is constantly projected on the video screen. Three way "stereo" sound system. Plates broken during first performance of Hav'a No Gill'er, dedicated to special agent M. Theiner.

1996 2.17

Revo 5.0 show at Pieta in Cleveland. First Revo away performance. Featured Dr. Swank on guitar, bass. Cleveland very supportive and extremely susceptible to reinformation. Signal to Noise and (other band with Cthulhu on keyboards) paid their respects to Revo. Met up with Elvis in diner and received visual confirmation of successful completion of mission objectives. New Floppy Disk release 0.9 with enhancement packaging for sale ($2.0), handed out re-science chain letter to help expedite O.R.I. control of Ohio.

1996 May?

Revo 6.0 show at the Beehive. Major technological hardships encountered as Revo overloaded the Beehive's electrical system. Debate sale of Fetor Du Lab perfume and the protective and fashionable Parabolic Reflector Shield Spoon Pendants. Check these out at the new O.R.I.Mart page.

1997 January

Revo is in the studio recording the album `ctrl' (pronounced control).

1997 February 

Revo tours the east coast, playing a couple shows with TransAm, and a few more with Man or Astroman?. Performances go well. Washington DC and Tallahassee Florida are especially receptive to re-information. Revo realizes that touring is an efficient way to spread re-information.

1997 April

Dr. Dale Braino applies for a position with in the organization. 

He is accepted.

1997 June

The distinction between Revo and O.R.I. is dissolved, and Revo is merged with it's parent company. Revo will now go by the Operation Re-Information name. 

1997 August

"ctrl" CD released.

Operation Re-Information spreads reinformation all across the west coast, from San Diego to Seattle Washington and back again.

O.R.I. stops updating this timeline.
